You can also purchase vintage clothing and collectibles for a limited time online at www.kelloggcompany.com. Ingredients:
Directions: Mix dates, almonds, apricots and orange rind; set aside. In large heavy saucepan over low heat, melt margarine. Stir in corn syrup and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Add cereal and reserved fruit-nut mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Press mixture firmly and evenly into greased 2 L (9") square pan. When partially cool, cut into bars. Cool completely. Microwave: In large microwaveable bowl, microwave margarine at HIGH 30-60 seconds to melt. Mix in syrup and sugar. Microwave at HIGH 2- 2 1/2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved and mixture is bubbly, stirring 3 times. Follow steps 3 and 4 above. |
