Banana - Orange - Honey Shake

Try this for a breakfast shake, a snack or a quick summer thirst-quencher.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Sunkist summer oranges, peeled, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup low-fat or nonfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ice cubes
  • Ground nutmeg (optional)

Directions:

In blender container or food-processor bowl, place oranges, banana, milk, honey and vanilla. Cover and blend about 30 seconds or until smooth. With machine running, add ice cubes one at a time through hole in lid of blender, or feed tube of processor; blend 15 seconds more. Pour into three tall glasses. Sprinkle ground nutmeg on top.

Serving Size: Makes 3 cups, or about 3 servings.
