Contributed by: News Canada Make "Milk-Time" fun time for your kids (NC) - These days everyone knows milk is needed as part of a healthy diet. But, did you know that children with growing bones need 2-4 servings of milk products a day according to Canada's Food Guide?
Preparing a child-friendly milk recipe with your kids, is an enjoyable and easy way to begin adding more milk to their diet. Not to mention, it is a great way to spend time together as a family. You won't mind your kids playing with their food with these fun treats. Nesquik Quivers are an excellent fat-free treat. Estimated Times: Preparation time: 20 mins - Cooking time: 0 mins Ingredients:
Directions: Place milk, Nesquik, and gelatin in a small saucepan. Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently, just until a gentle simmer and Nesquik and gelatin have completely dissolved. Slowly pour into a 8X11-inch (2.5 L) baking dish. Refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm. Cut into shapes using decorative cookie cutters or cut into squares. Carefully remove from dish with a metal spatula. Twist it up! Break out the cake decorations - sprinkles, gels and toppings - and let your kids decorate their own Quivers.
