Directions: Fill the kettle 2/3 full with water and bring it to a boil. Meanwhile, remove the husks and silky threads from the ears of corn. Don't husk the corn until you're ready to cook it. When the water is boiling, add the sugar and the corn. When the water comes to a boil again, cook for 5 minutes, or until the kernels are tender when you test them with the point of the small knife.
