Cranberry Applesauce

Contributed by: Chris WebAdmin. of RecipesNow.com

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs. firm apples (like Granny Smith)
  • 1 12 oz pkg. fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 TBL cinnamon

Directions:

Peel, core & slice apples. Cook water & sugar together to combine. Add apples and cook until apples are tender but firm, 10-15 minutes.

Add cranberries and cook about ten minutes, until most of the berries have popped. Add cinnamon and more sugar if needed.

Refrigerate as is or process in a food processor.

Will keep for about one week if stored in coolest part of refrigerator.
