Homemade Christmas Decorations

Contributed by: News Canada

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (1 L) Five Roses White flour
  • 1 cup (250 ml) salt
  • 1 1/2 cup (375 ml) water

Directions:

(Do not double or half recipe)

Mix flour, salt, and water together. Squeeze the clay-dough with your hands until it is smooth (if clay-dough starts to crumble, wet with a little water). Use fresh clay-dough within 4 hours, or store in a plastic bag. To make clay-dough easier to handle, roll on tinfoil (on a cookie sheet) until it is 6mm (1/4") thick. Use cookie cutters or other kitchen utensils to make shapes.

Oven dry at least one hour at 110 C (225 F) and let pieces cool (thicker pieces may take longer to bake). Use your imagination and decorate.
