Contributed by: News Canada (NC) - This year, about one billion Valentine cards will be sent to loved ones throughout the world – with 85% of them sent by women. And recognizing that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, why not combine the greeting with the eating? The Robin Hood Test Kitchen shares two of their favourite ways to say I Love You!
Chocolate Pancakes Prepare one recipe of Robin Hood Original Homestyle Pancakes for 6-7 pancakes according to package directions, adding 3 tbsp (45 mL) cocoa and 2 tbsp (30 mL) granulated sugar to dry mix. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with sliced strawberries. Heart-Shaped Pancakes Prepare plain or chocolate pancake batter. Pour batter onto the griddle making a heart shape. Cook as directed. For easy shaping put batter into an icing bag or clean milk bag and snip off corner to give a 1/2" (1 cm) opening). Serve with your favourite pancake toppings. |
