Rum puts the traditional spirit Into your holiday season (NC) - The holidays conjure up images of delectable feasts, delicious sweets and fun times spent relaxing by the fire with friends and family. And rum has long been a key ingredient in making the holidays memorable.
When it comes to deserts, the long standing favorite is rum cake. Whether enjoyed at the end of a meal, or served to guests stopping by to visit, rum cake is guaranteed to satisfy.
To help you make these festive treats during the holiday entertaining season, Cruzan Rum has provided you with the following easy and delicious recipes.
Grease and flour bundt pan and preheat oven to 325 F
Combine Cruzan Coconut rum, cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, and coffee
Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes and then stir in chocolate chips and flaked coconut
Spread evenly into the pan and bake for 1 hour
Cool 15 minutes, remove from the pan and cool completely
To make the glaze, combine powdered sugar, coffee and Cruzan Coconut Rum
Prick the top of the cake and brush the glaze all over top and sides of cake until absorbed
Garnish with flaked coconut
Makes 12 Servings
In a tumbler filled with ice add Cruzan Estate Dark Rum and top with eggnog. Garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
