Holiday Cooking With Less Fuss!

(NC) - Cooking that special holiday dinner can be a stressful experience so it's great when an appliance that's probably already in your kitchen can help make it easier. A blender can help you make stuffing or mashed potatoes, save that lumpy gravy and grate chocolate for the cheesecake. Below are some helpful tips from Hamilton Beach®, makers of quality small appliances including the Eclectrics collection in a variety of decorator colours.
Bread Crumbs - Tear bread into pieces and put in blender jar. Pulse about 10 times.
Chopping Vegetables - Cabbage, carrots, onion, green pepper, potatoes. Place 2 cups of chunks in blender jar. Cover with water. Pulse until desired chopped consistency is reached. Pour into colander to drain off water.
Lumpy Gravy - Place gravy in blender jar. Remove filler-cap from cover to allow steam to escape. Blend on low speed for 5 seconds or until smooth.
Grated Baking Chocolate - On a cutting board, cut 2 to 3 ounces baking chocolate into chunks. Place in blender jar. Pulse for 10 seconds.
