Sweet Soy Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Contributed by: News Canada

Barbecue Grilling - Teriyaki Style

(NC) - Instead of being a slave to your stove this summer, look for recipes and products that can be grilled, left to simmer on low or are no-cook. Knorr Sides Plus (www.homebasics.ca) can help get you started with this Asian-inspired but simple to prepare sweet soy glazed pork tenderloin and teriyaki noodle meal.

Ingredients:

    Sweet Soy Glazed Pork Tenderloin
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp hot pepper flakes
  • 2 pork tenderloins, about 1 1/2 lbs (375 g), trimmed, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1 pkg Knorr Sides Plus Teriyaki Noodles with Asian Style Vegetables, prepared according to package directions

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 F (220 C). Line a baking sheet with foil and top with a grilling rack. In a small microwaveable bowl, combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, lime juice, ginger, sesame oil, cornstarch and hot pepper flakes. Heat on high in the microwave, whisking often, for 2 minutes or until thickened and glossy. Cool, slightly.

Place the tenderloins on the rack. Brush half of the soy sauce mixture over the tenderloins. Bake for 17 to 20 minutes, basting occasionally with remaining glaze or until an instant read thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 160 F (71 C). Garnish with green onion and serve with Knorr Sides Plus Teriyaki Noodles.

Serving Size: Makes 4 Servings
