Spicy Chicken Drumsticks

Contributed by: News Canada

Consumer Quick Tip: Serve gourmet olive oil spreads at your dinner party (NC) - The best restaurants serve healthy gourmet spreads as well as butter with their breadbaskets. Now you can too.

Olive Lea, a leading name in margarine alternatives, has recognized the demand in Canada for more olive oil choices, especially now that nutritionists credit this ancient "good" fat for promoting an overall healthy heart, mind, and body. Serve this gourmet spread to impress your dinner guests, and use it confidently when cooking, baking or in a favourite recipe. Olive oil's delicate flavour compliments many meals.

"The success of Olive Lea in Australia (where it's called Olive Grove) is also due to its high content of premium olive oil," says company spokesperson, Peter Carter. "It's the highest on the market and the four varieties give consumers a choice: the Classic Spread line for example, is made from 20% pure olive oil; the Extra Virgin Spread and the Extra Virgin Avocado Oil Spread has 24% pure oil; and the Light Flavour Spread delivers 17.5% pure olive oil." Olive Lea has a shelf life of up to a year and consumers can find it in the refrigerator section of Safeway.
