Turn Your Barbeque Into A Low-Carbeque

Contributed by: NAPSA

(NAPSA) - Millions of Americans are looking for ways to turn their traditional barbeque into a low-carbeque. With the growing interest in a low-carb lifestyle, many people are saying goodbye to hamburger buns and embracing low-carb options such as lettuce wraps.

Fortunately, cutting carbs doesn't mean you have to sacrifice taste. Coors had this in mind when creating Aspen Edge, its new low-carb lager for carb-conscious beer lovers who still want real beer taste. The following low-carb recipes use the beer to create tasty low-carb marinades.

So eat, drink and be merry; you're not just barbequing...you're low-carbequing.

Aspen Edge Grilled Chicken

  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/2 bottle (6 oz) Aspen Edge Lager
  • 1/4 teaspoon steak seasoning
  • 3/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash ground black pepper
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3/4 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Preheat outdoor grill to high heat.

Melt margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat. Mix in beer, steak seasoning, salt and pepper. Let mixture cool, then rub mixture onto chicken.

Place chicken on grill for 30 minutes total, flipping chicken breasts 2-4 times during cooking, and continue to baste with remaining margarine mixture. Top chicken with sliced peppers and optional onions.
