Easy-To-Prepare Margaritas

(NC) - If you've travelled to Mexico in recent years, you may have come across Salvador's, one of the country's most famous restaurants owned by Salvador Huerta. While the food is great, Salvador's margaritas are what drive people to his restaurants. So popular are his margaritas, he began bottling his secret recipe in order to keep his signature drink consistent across all his restaurants. The good news for those who love the taste of a margarita, but dread having to work hard to make their favourite cocktail, Salvador's Original Margarita is now available at the LCBO's Party Zone as a ready-to-serve cocktail. Yes, the revered restaurateur has put the tequila right in the mix for the shaker-challenged individuals like me.

"If you can pour a glass of wine or bottle of beer, you can dazzle your guests by making a fabulous margarita," says Jennifer May, importer. "We hear over and over again that once folks try Salvador's Original Margarita, the taste is so authentic they continue to buy it. Easy and delicious - that's what summer entertaining is all about."

For a new twist on tradition, try blending 1/4 ounce of your favourite liqueur such as Amaretto, Melon, Raspberry or Peach Schnapps. Garnish with grated citrus fruit rinds and your favourite summer fruits and berries for a cocktail that looks as good as it tastes. For a beautiful and tasty way to keep the cocktail chilled, add frozen berries, lime or mango slices.

If you love the tangy combination of tequila and lime margarita, try pairing Salvador's with the perfect summer barbeque menu that includes his famous mango salmon or marinade shrimp in Salvador's Original Margarita before tossing them on the grill.
