Courvoisier Flurry

Contributed by: News Canada

Colourful cocktails and twists on traditions are the latest for Holiday 2002 (NC) - Celebrations with friends and family are a highlight of the holiday season, and for those who want to do it in style, there are a number of new trends to incorporate into this year’s party planning. From colourful champagne cocktails in the trendiest of hues, to new takes on perennial entertaining favourites, there are many ways for hosts and guests alike to liven up the party season.

Colour Your Holiday

Forget the traditional red and gold. Sarah Shuken, a Toronto-based entertaining expert, says fuschia, chartreuse, orange and white are the hot colours for this entertaining season. And, in partnership with Corby Distilleries Ltd., she provides some ideas on how to incorporate these colours into holiday parties:

Winter white

Get your guests dreaming of a white holiday season with a creamy, luxurious twist on traditional eggnog punch - the Courvoisier Flurry. Garnish with gold flakes and top with whipped cream. Serve in a punch bowl and then poured over ice, for a perfect after-dinner treat.

  • 1 oz. Carolans Irish Cream
  • 1/2 oz. Courvoisier Cognac
  • 1/4 oz. McGuinness Crème de Cacao White

Combine ingredients and serve.
