Sweet And Sour Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbs. oil
  • 1 tbs. chopped Chinese pickles
  • 1 tbs.chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp.crushed garlic
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbs.liquid from Chinese pickles
  • 2 1/2 tsp.cornstarch

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Simmer for about 3 mins. As a dip for pork meatballs or fresh fish, add 1/4 cup ketchup.
