Bartlett Pear and Plum Salsa

Serve as a dip with tortilla chips or toasted pita bread triangles; as a condiment over grilled or baked halibut or swordfish, chicken or roasted pork tenderloin; or serve over warm flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs. - NC

Ingredients:

  • 3 Bartlett pears, diced
  • 3 Blue plums, diced
  • 1 Orange, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup Red pepper, sweet 125 ml
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped 50 ml
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice 15 ml
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil 15 ml
  • 1/2 - 1 Small jalapeno pepper, 1/2 - 1 seeds and veins removed, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt 1 ml

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, mixing well. Chill briefly.

Serving Size: Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
