Barbecue Sauce

  • l/4 cup vinegar
  • l cup catsup
  • l cup water
  • l tblsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • l/4 cup brown sugar (I use more to make it thicker)
  • l/2 cup minced onion
  • l tsp. salt
  • l/4 tsp. pepper
  • l tblsp. butter
  • Few drops Tabasco sauce
  • l/4 tsp. celery seed (optional)


Combine all incredients in saucepan. Simmer over low heat l5 minutes.

Use sauce to baste meat and chicken while roasting, broiling or grilling.
