Peach And Pear Breakfast Cones

(NC) - Kids won't believe you're serving ice cream cones for breakfast. These are filled with all the right stuff to start the day right - juicy Ontario peaches and pears, creamy yogourt cheese and crunchy granola.


  • 3/4 cup plain yogourt 175 mL
  • 2 tbsp icing sugar 25 mL
  • 1 tbsp frozen undiluted orange juice concentrate 15 mL
  • 4 sugar cones
  • 3 tbsp granola 45 mL
  • Ontario Peaches, peeled, pitted and thinly sliced
  • 1 Ontario Pear, peeled, cored and thinly sliced


Line strainer with cheesecloth, paper towel or coffee filter; place over large bowl.

Fill strainer with yogourt; place in refrigerator and let sit overnight. Discard drained liquid; reserve thickened yogourt.

Stir icing sugar and concentrate into yogourt. Combine peaches and pears. Alternate two layers of granola, peaches and pears, and yogourt in cones.

Top with peach or pear slice. Enjoy!
