- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms (about 3 1/3 cups)
- 2 tablespoons meat or poultry drippings (or butter or margerine)
- 1/2 cup chopped oinion
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- generous dash pepper
In a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot drippings, cook mushrooms and onion until
tender, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, in a cup, gradually blend water into flour until smooth. Stir flour mixture into
mushrooms; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Stir in salt and pepper.
Serving Size: Makes 1 1/2 cups of gravy
