Saucy Soft Taco

Kitchen Fiesta with the Kids
(NC) - Moms know it's often hard to get kids to eat healthy and unique foods. Smell, texture and, of course, distinct taste can often discourage unrefined palates from trying something new. But it doesn't have to be a battle. By getting the kids involved with preparation they'll know exactly what they're eating and feel a sense of achievement. By using trusted ingredients in unexpected ways, like Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal, you know they're eating something they like.
Why not have your kids help you create this twist on a classic Mexican dish. When preparing Saucy Soft Tacos, have the kids measure the ingredients, and talk to them about the ingredients as you add them to the pan. Not only is this a good math lesson, but the kids will learn about different flavours and ingredients that go well together in meals.
This simple recipe is not only delicious, but fun to eat. Kids will enjoy the break from conventional table manners and relish the fact that it's finally polite to eat with their hands.
