One Peanut Butter Sandwich Can Help Send Your Child to College

(NewsUSA) - Adding fun and creativity when packing lunches with your child this school year could put your child in the running for a $25,000 college scholarship! Kids, with the encouragement of their parents, have reinvented the classic peanut butter sandwich using their own imagination to create Caramel Apple Turtle Treats, Peanutti Paninis and Rocking Rainbows. These recipes have helped to excite their everyday lunch and at the same time have helped them to earn scholarship money for college.
The makers of Jif® are now accepting entries for the 6th Annual Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest™ from now until November 15, 2007. The grand prize winner will receive a $25,000 scholarship fund, each of four runners-up will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship fund, and each finalist will receive a Jif gift basket.
The Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest™ is intended to foster creativity and encourage parents and children to spend time together in the kitchen. Moms have trusted Jif for decades to be a part of their children's lunch. Over the past five years, thousands of kid chefs from across the country, with their mom's help, have invented peanut butter sandwiches using Jif peanut butter and their own creativity.
The winner of last year's most creative peanut butter sandwich was inspired by a child's love of sushi. Twelve-year-old Alexandra Yoder of Fort Wayne, Indiana, created "Peanut Butter Rolls -; Sushi Style," which consisted of Jif Creamy peanut butter, strawberry cream cheese and fruit rolled in a crepe, cut and served "sushi style."
The Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest™ is open to children ages 6 to 12. For official rules and entry forms, visit www.jif.com.
