Garden Turkey Burgers

- 1 c. old-fashioned oats
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 3/4 c. finely chopped sweet red or green pepper
- 1/2 c, shredded zucchini
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 tsp. salt, optional
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 6 whole wheat hamburger buns, split and toasted
Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill.
In a bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. Add turkey and mix well.
Shape into six 1-/2-in.-thick patties. Grill, covered, over indirect medium heat for 6 minutes
on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 165-F.
Serve on buns.
Diabetic Exchanges: 2 very lean meat, 1 starch.
