Father's Day Grilled Chocolate Bananas

The heavenly combination of warmed bananas and melted chocolate, served hod off the grill and topped with ice cream, is a sure-fire way to put a smile on Dad's face.


  • 4 ripe bananas, unpeeled
  • 2 bars (42 g each) Nestle AERO(r) candy bars, broken evenly into 16 pieces
  • 2 cups Nestle PARLOUR vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream 500mL


Slice through the inside curve of each banana, cutting into skin and fruit. Arrange 4 pieces of chocolate in opening. Wrap each tightly with foil.

Preheat grill to medium-high or oven to 400 1/4 F (200 1/4 C); cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until skin blackens and banana is soft. Unwrap; place a scoop of ice cream in the centre of each banana. Serve immedia4ely.
