Pancakes for Shrove Tuesday (NC) - This year, Shrove Tuesday is on February 8. For the Christian church it is a day of celebration, the last chance to feast before the austerity of the 40 days of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. Traditionally, all the foods that are forbidden during Lent - meat, eggs, fat and milk - are eaten up on Shrove Tuesday. This recipe follows those rules, but you can enjoy it any time you like!
