Sizzlin' stir fry makes Year of the Rooster something to crow about
(NC) - According to the Chinese lunar calendar, February 9 marks the beginning of the Year of the Rooster and anyone born in 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, or 1993 is a Rooster and should enjoy being the centre of attention in the year ahead.
Roosters are loyal, organized and dedicated to their work. They make great hosts and are known for their love of entertaining. This is an ideal attribute since Chinese New Year starts with a celebration feast - a symbol of good fortune and wealth for the year ahead.
Symbolic foods are often served to start the year off right - chicken for prosperity, uncut noodles for long life, ginger for good health and sesame seeds for happiness.
So why not create your own celebration with this quick and easy Sesame Ginger Stir Fry - it will definitely bring happiness to hungry family members!
