  • 250 grams butter
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 5 eggs
  • 250 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Cream butter and sugar


Add eggs one by one, add dry ingredients and lastly the apples

Put into a round tin (making sure you have lined the tin with greaseproof pater and butter)

Bake for about 1 hour at 150 C or 325 F or until skewer comes out clean

When cool dust with icing sugar or serve with whipped cream.
