Chocolate Ice Cream Velvet Pie

  • l cup crushed chocolate wafers
  • 1/2 cup ground hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 quart Chocolate Ice Cream, softened
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • Chocolate curls for garnish


In 9-inch pie plate, combine crushed cookies, hazelnuts and melted butter. Press into bottom of plate to cover. Spread softened ice cream over bottom of crust. Top with dollops of whipped cream. Freeze until firm. Garnish with chocolate curls. Serves approximately 8.

For variety, try another Ice Cream flavor available in your grocer's freezer.
