Chicken Ham and Swiss Strata

(NC) - Perfect for a weekend brunch that can be made the night before and cooked to order.
- 4 slices French stick, 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick
- 3/4 lb/375 g Maple Lodge Farms Black Forest Style Chicken Ham, diced
- 1/2 red pepper, chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 1/4 cups/300 mL shredded swiss cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups/425 mL milk
- 1/4 tsp/1 mL cayenne pepper
- salt, to taste
Cut bread into cubes. Spread half bread over bottom of 8 x 12 inch (2.5 L) greased baking dish.
Top with half chicken-ham, red pepper, green onions and cheese. Repeat ingredients to make a
second layer. In bowl, beat eggs with milk and seasoning. Pour evenly over entire surface. Cover
and refrigerate 30 minutes to overnight.
Bake at 375 F (190 C) for 35 to 45 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
Serving Size: Makes 4 to 6 servings.
