Absolutely the perfect accompaniment to a relaxed
evening of home videos, homemade caramel corn can't be beat for its richness and fresh
- 1 pkg (100 g) plain microwave popcorn
- 1 cup (250 mL) Laura Secord nuts, Deluxe Assortment or Family Assortment
- 20 Laura Secord Creamy Toffee candies
- 3 tbsp (50 mL) butter
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) milk
Prepare popcorn according to package directions.
Transfer to large microwaveable glass bowl; discard unpopped kernels. Stir in nuts.
In 2-cup (500 mL) microwaveable glass mesure or bowl, microwave unwrapped candy, butter
and milk at High, stirring once, for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until boiling. Stir and pour over popcorn
mixture, stirring until coated.
Microwave at High for 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through (bowl will be hot). Pour onto
foil-lined baking sheet.
Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes or until crisp.
Serving Size: Makes 9 cups (2.25 L).
