A deliciously creamy brunch tea.


  • 1/2 cup 125 mL milk
  • 1 envelope unflavoured gelatin
  • 3 tbsp 45 mL sugar
  • 1 tbsp 15 mL instant coffee crystals
  • 1/2 cup 250 mL boiling water
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 cup 250 mL Real Whipped Cream
  • 1 tbsp 15 mL coffee-flavoured liqueur
  • Orange zest


Place milk in blender container; sprinkle gelatin over milk; add sugar and coffee crystals. Add 1/2 cup boiling water and blend at low speed 2 minutes or until gelatin is dissolved, scraping down sides once. Add ice cubes and Gay Lea Real Whipped Cream.

Blend at high speed until smooth; add liqueur. Chill mixture in blender container until ready to serve.

Just before serving, re-whip and pour into demitasse cups or dessert dishes. Garnish with orange zest.

Preparation time: 10 minutes + chilling time.

Serving Size: Makes 4 servings.
