Colourful cocktails and twists on traditions are the latest for Holiday 2002 (NC) - Celebrations with friends and family are a highlight of the holiday season, and for those who want to do it in style, there are a number of new trends to incorporate into this yearís party planning. From colourful champagne cocktails in the trendiest of hues, to new takes on perennial entertaining favourites, there are many ways for hosts and guests alike to liven up the party season.

Forget the traditional red and gold. Sarah Shuken, a Toronto-based entertaining expert, says fuschia, chartreuse, orange and white are the hot colours for this entertaining season.
