Perfect for berries, pies, specialty coffees and special desserts.
- 1 tsp cold water 5 mL
- 1/4 tsp unflavoured gelatin 1 mL
- 2/3 cup Carnation® 2% Evaporated Milk 150 mL
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar 15 mL
- 1/8 tsp vanilla 0.5 mL
In small cup, add water to gelatin; let stand for 2 minutes to soften.
In 1-cup (250 mL) glass measure, microwave evaporated milk at HIGH for 1 minute or until
steaming. Pour into deep 6-cup (1.5 L) bowl along with softened gelatin; stir until gelatin is
dissolved. Chill in freezer along with mixer beaters for 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened slightly
and ice crystals form around edge.
Beat at high speed with chilled beaters for 1 minute. Gradually beat in sugar and vanilla,
beating for 1 more minute or until stiff peaks form. Serve or refrigerate for up to 3 hours.
Serving Size: Makes 2-1/2 cups (625 mL),
