Contributed by: News Canada A good reason to "scream" for ice cream (NC) - How can you improve on a scoop of vanilla ice cream? Add a chocolate, cream-filled cake, a few candies and a few squiggly legs to create a deliciously scary Mint Chip Spider from Breyers (www.homebasics.ca). Perfect for family reunions, dessert on the dock or children's birthday parties. Ingredients:
Directions: Arrange the bottom half of each of the cream-filled cakes, cut-side-up, on a dessert plate. Top each with a scoop of ice cream. Top with the remaining cake half, frosting-side up. For "eyes", spoon two small dots of marshmallow cream onto the cake. Place a chocolate chip in the centre of each dot. For "legs", drizzle chocolate syrup on plate. Serve immediately. Serving Size: Makes 2 Servings |
