Contributed by: NAPSA (NAPSA) - While flowers are blooming outdoors, it can also blossom inside with colorful desserts that will delight family and friends. Gelatin Poke Cake Prep: 15 minutes - Bake: 35 minutes
HEAT oven to 350¡F. PREPARE and bake cake mix as directed on package to make two 9-inch cake layers. Remove from oven. Cool cake in pan 15 minutes. Pierce layers with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals. MEANWHILE, stir boiling water into gelatin in small bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water; carefully pour half of gelatin over each cake layer. Refrigerate 3 hours. DIP one cake pan into warm water 10 seconds; unmold layer onto serving plate. Spread with about 1 cup of the whipped topping. Unmold second cake layer; carefully place on first cake layer. Frost top and sides with remaining whipped topping. REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour or until ready to serve. Decorate as desired. Store leftover cake in refrigerator. Makes 12 Servings Fluffy Lemon Fruit Pie Prep: 10 minutes plus refrigerating
PLACE berries on bottom of crust. BEAT cream cheese in large bowl with wire whisk until smooth. Gradually beat in milk until well blended. Add pudding mix. Beat until smooth. Gently stir in 1/2 of the whipped topping. Spread over fruit in crust. SPREAD remaining whipped topping over pudding mixture. REFRIGERATE 3 hours or until set. Garnish with additional fruit if desired. Makes 12 Servings Great Substitute: 1 cup cherry or strawberry pie filling may be substituted for the fresh fruit. |
