Contributed by: News Canada Simple yet sensational, this dazzling make-ahead dessert is perfect for outdoor entertaining. Top slices with fresh berries and a drizzle of NesQuik(tm) chocolate syrup or toffee sauce. Ingredients:
Directions: Line an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch (1.5 L) loaf pan with plastic wrap; chill in freezer. Dissolve coffee granules in water. Combine ice cream with coffee in blender and blend until smooth; transfer into large bowl. Quickly stir in candy bar and almonds (if using); pour into chilled pan and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze 8 hours or until firm. (Terrine can be wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and frozen for up to 3 weeks.) To serve, unmold onto serving dish; remove plastic wrap and cut terrine into 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick slices. Variation: Mocha Ice Cream Terrine: Substitute chocolate ice cream for vanilla.
