Contributed by: News Canada (NC) - Our delicious granola recipe is easy to make and serves as a wonderful breakfast for family during Thanksgiving weekend. It's sweetened with maple syrup for a distinctively Canadian taste. For more delicious recipes, visit www.robinhood.ca. Ingredients:
Directions: Preheat oven to 325 F (160 C). In large bowl, combine first five ingredients. Drizzle canola oil on large rimmed baking sheet. Place in oven as it preheats for about 10 minutes, or until warm. Meanwhile, heat maple syrup in microwave or on stovetop until hot. Remove baking sheet from oven and place oat mixture on sheet. Stir mixture so that it is evenly coated with oil. Pour hot syrup over mixture and stir to combine. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes, stirring every 5 - 10 minutes, until mixture is evenly browned. Remove from oven and cool. Store in airtight container. Prep Time: 5 minutes - Baking Time: 30 minutes Serving Size: Makes 7 cups (1.7L) |
