Dad's Cookies

Ingredients:
- 1 c margarine
- 1 c white sugar
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. molasses or 2 tbsp. syrup
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c rolled oats
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1 c coconut
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in egg and work dry ingredients to make a stiff dough. Roll in 1 inch in balls. Place on greased cookie sheet, do not press down.
Bake at 300* until golden brown - 20 minutes
You can double this recipe for your family.
Serving Size: Makes 1 1/2 dozen
