Unique Dishes Cater To Unique Tastes (NAPS) - The recipe for a great party almost always includes good food. No matter what the event, serving unique and creative dishes to your guests can help add flavor and flair to your social affair. Often, the best dishes are the simplest ones. Pairing just a few fresh ingredients together can allow their different tastes to stand out, letting diners enjoy the delightful flavors. Try capping off your next social event with a mushroom dish that your guests are sure to remember. The taste is delicate and the preparation is easy enough that you can have time to enjoy your own party.
Place a sieve over a medium bowl and drain tomatoes of their marinating oil. Wipe mushroom caps clean and remove the stems. Toss the mushrooms in the oil to coat; season with salt and pepper. Lift mushrooms from oil and place in a single layer on a sheet pan.
Bake in oven for 15 minutes at 275. Let cool.
Fill each mushroom cap with goat cheese and top with a drained tomato. Sprinkle with the chopped basil.
Cover any remaining tomatoes with fresh olive oil in a jar and store in the refrigerator.
