Ham And Cheese Stratta

A layered dish.
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf white bread
- Dijon mustard
- butter
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/2 - 1 lb. sliced Black Forest ham
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Egg Mixture
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- dash of tabasco
- 2 1/4 cups milk
Directions:
Butter one side of bread and spread Dijon mustard on other side. Cut bread diagonally (into 2
triangles). Place bread pieces into glass or Pyrex dish butter-side down leaving some spaces between
pieces. Next, place a layer of Black Forest ham, then a layer of thinly sliced onion and some
shredded cheese. Repeat layers, ending with bread butter side up. Combine egg mixture (above),
beat and pour over bread layers the night before serving. Top with rest of cheese. Cover with tin foil
and place in fridge overnight. Bake covered at 350F for 45 minutes, then uncovered at 325F for 20
minutes.
