Maple Peach Pie with Pecan Topping

Ingredients:

  • 1 All-American Pie Crust
  • 6 cups sliced, peeled peaches
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 stick butter, cut in small pieces
  • 1 cup roughly chopped pecans

Directions:

Roll out dough, and line a 9-inch pie plate, crimping the edges. Chill.

In a large bowl, combine peaches, maple syrup, cornstarch and nutmeg. Let stand 20 minutes. In another small bowl, gently mix together flour, brown sugar, butter and pecans until crumbly.

Preheat oven to 425 F.

Pour peach mixture into prepared pie crust. Sprinkle nut mixture evenly over top. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 F and bake 40 minutes longer. Cool on rack. Serve warm.

Serving Size: Makes one pie
